Anethi is an annual herb of the parsley family and has a distinctive scent. A winter crop, Dill requires a well-drained, sandy soil with full exposure to sunlight. This essential oil is pale yellow but darkens with age and has a characteristic pungent aroma – fresh, sweet, herbaceous and slightly earthy (resembling that of caraway).
